One of our really special organizations is Disability Resources. Disability Resources provides a caring place to live and work. This enables developmentally disabled individuals to grow to their fullest potential. Everybody needs some care. But we also need to be able to contribute to the community. These young adults relish the opportunity to have jobs and to make a difference.
Can you imagine the blessing that is to parents? Older parents often worry about such children. Some of them might not be capable of all the shopping, cooking and cleaning that comes with independent life. Knowing that Susie has a safe clean place to stay brings real relief to aging parents.
