I noticed that Liam's Wells received a couple of anonymous donations recently. It is hard to thank an anonymous donor, but maybe anonymous doesn't need to be thanked. Maybe the deed itself and the warm feelings produced have already provided an appropriate response. That's been the case for me when I've done a Random Act of Kindness.
These anonymous folks are making a difference. In Liam's honor, six wells are already producing life giving water. A seventh has been funded. Future donations will help The Water Project drill additional wells. I appreciate that The Water Project folks work with the people who will benefit from the well to help them understand how to keep it working.
Obviously, Liam's Wells isn't the only project blessed by anonymous donors. It is easier to be anonymous with monetary gifts but there are numerous good deeds performed in secret. These are the deeds Jesus told us will be rewarded by the Father.
So today I'm thankful for anonymous and for the many anonymous folks who call Abilene, "home." These folks really are "Good for Abilene."
